Websites and IT consulting for tax advisors and professional firms
Professional firms live on trust, and today the first impression is made before the first phone call. Escalt builds firm websites that let a client see whether they are in the right place — and says up front what is different for liberal professions than for a commercial business.
Three questions that decide whether a firm's website works
- Can a client tell whether they are in the right place? A firm for private individuals and SMEs needs a different website from one that advises foreign companies in Germany. The website has to show the focus areas, not list every service of the profession.
- In which language do the clients search? A firm that advises in German, English and Russian should also be found in those languages. Multilingual is more than a translation: each version needs its own addresses and the markup by which search engines tell the languages apart.
- Is the firm found — by AI assistants too? People search on Google and increasingly with assistants such as ChatGPT. For that a site has to be cleanly built and marked up; that is craft, not a trick.
What we have delivered for firms
This is backed by two firms at the same Munich address, both of which received their website from us. For the Steuerkanzlei Fuierer, a sole practice for private individuals and SMEs: IT consulting, website, SEO and AIO. For the Cosmotax Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, which advises foreign companies and private individuals in Germany: IT consulting and a multilingual website.
IT consulting was part of both projects: what a website has to achieve follows from the firm — not from a template.
No Digitalbonus for liberal professions
A note that saves time: liberal professions — and that includes tax advisors — are excluded from the Digitalbonus Bayern, even if the project would fit in substance. For a firm a project therefore has to pay for itself — or not. We say that before the quote, not after.
Professional secrecy: where data is processed
Escalt processes data only in the EU and the EEA as a rule; outside only by separate agreement per engagement (German terms and conditions, § 11.3). That is the precondition for firms being able to use external development at all. For larger projects we bring in development teams within the EU; project management, architecture and responsibility remain in Germany.
Two firms, one address
Both are based in Munich and have their website from Escalt — all reference projects at a glance.
Single-practitioner firm in Munich, in practice since 2005, for private clients and mid-sized businesses: income and business tax returns, annual accounts, bookkeeping and payroll, plus planning advice on property, inheritance and gifts and support with start-ups and tax audits.
Tax advice for foreign companies and private individuals in Germany: company formation and choice of legal form, ongoing bookkeeping, annual accounts and tax returns, plus VAT registration and property taxation. Advice in German, English and Russian.
Frequently asked questions
Can tax advisors use the Digitalbonus Bayern?
No. Liberal professions — and that includes tax advisors — are excluded from the Digitalbonus Bayern, even if the project would fit in substance. For a firm a project therefore has to pay off without a grant.
Where is data processed when Escalt works for a firm?
Only in the EU and the EEA as a rule, outside only by separate agreement per engagement — that is what § 11.3 of the German terms and conditions says. For professionals bound by professional secrecy this is a precondition.
Which firms has Escalt worked for?
For the Steuerkanzlei Fuierer and the Cosmotax Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, two firms at the same Munich address. Both received their website from Escalt; both are described on the references page.
Do you also build multilingual websites for firms?
Yes. The website of the Cosmotax Steuerberatungsgesellschaft is multilingual because the firm advises in German, English and Russian. Escalt itself works in German, English, Russian and Ukrainian.
