Digitalbonus Bayern: up to 50% subsidy

The Digitalbonus Bayern programme funds digitalization projects of small and medium-sized companies with up to 50% of the eligible costs: up to 7,500 euros with Digitalbonus Standard and up to 30,000 euros with Digitalbonus Plus. In the initial consultation, Escalt checks whether your project qualifies and helps you prepare the application. The company must submit the application itself via its ELSTER business account — that is a requirement of the programme. Important: the project must not have started yet; a binding order already counts as a start.

Frequently asked questions about project management

Does Escalt take over the project management or support ours?

Both are common. Escalt runs projects as the project lead, but equally works alongside an internal lead — for planning, risk tracking and steering external parties. Which makes more sense depends on how much capacity is actually free in-house.

Agile or classic — what do you recommend?

The method follows your organization, not the other way round. Where requirements are still being clarified, an agile approach carries; where deadlines, budget and acceptance are firmly agreed, a classic one does. In practice it often comes down to a hybrid form, and that is not a compromise but the normal case.

Do you also steer projects that someone else implements?

Yes. Project steering is not tied to our own development. Escalt equally coordinates departments, existing providers and product vendors — particularly where the interfaces between several parties are the actual risk.

Can you take over a project that is already running?

Yes, and it is a frequent reason to call. It then starts with a sober review: status, open points, agreements, risks. A statement on deadline and effort comes after that — before it, it would be guesswork.

Is project management eligible for the Digitalbonus Bayern?

Only as part of an implementation project. On its own it falls under the excluded consulting services; where it belongs to a solution that is actually introduced, it counts with up to 50% of the eligible total costs.
