Bavarian funding

Digitalbonus Bayern: up to 50% subsidy

The Digitalbonus Bayern programme funds digitalization projects of small and medium-sized companies with up to 50% of the eligible costs: up to 7,500 euros with Digitalbonus Standard and up to 30,000 euros with Digitalbonus Plus. In the initial consultation, Escalt checks whether your project qualifies and helps you prepare the application. The company must submit the application itself via its ELSTER business account — that is a requirement of the programme. Important: the project must not have started yet; a binding order already counts as a start.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about nearshore & outsourcing

Where are the development teams located?

Within the EU, particularly in Poland and Romania. Project responsibility, coordination with you and quality assurance stay in Germany.

Does our data leave the EU?

No. Processing takes place within the EU or the EEA as a matter of principle. Processing outside it happens only under a separate agreement for the individual engagement, and then on the basis of the standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR. Details are in the privacy policy.

Who do we deal with day to day?

With Escalt. Your contact, the project lead and the reports come from Germany. Within the development team English is the working language — which as a rule does not concern you.

Does this save us money in every case?

No. Nearshore shifts cost, it does not remove it: steering, quality assurance and coordination remain effort, and on short, fragmented tasks they quickly cost more than the hourly rate saves. The advantage carries on work with a longer run time and a clearly bounded scope.

Can we start with a single developer?

Yes. Team extension is meant for exactly that — one profile, one bounded area, a short run time. Whether it grows into a team is decided by how the collaboration goes, not by a minimum commitment.
