Medical practices and professional firms: what is different here
A large share of our Munich clients are medical practices, healthcare providers and tax advisors. Two things apply to them that an IT service provider should say up front:
- No Digitalbonus for the liberal professions. Medical practices, law firms and tax advisory firms — the Freie Berufe, or liberal professions — are excluded from the Digitalbonus Bayern, the Bavarian digitalization grant. A care service or a health centre organised as a GmbH, on the other hand, may be eligible — we clarify that before the quote, not after.
- Professional secrecy and data processing. As a rule, Escalt processes data only within the EU and the EEA (German terms and conditions, § 11.3). That is the precondition for practices and professional firms to be able to use external development at all.
Multilingual, because Munich is international
Several Munich clients serve an international clientele: KIOR with a multilingual practice team, Cosmotax with foreign corporate and private clients, Schutin Medical Services with patients from abroad. Escalt itself works in German, English, Russian and Ukrainian — so we do not build websites and assistants in several languages as an add-on, but out of habit.

The Digitalbonus Bayern programme funds digitalization projects of small and medium-sized companies with up to 50% of the eligible costs: up to 7,500 euros with Digitalbonus Standard and up to 30,000 euros with Digitalbonus Plus. The company must submit the application itself via its ELSTER business account — that is a requirement of the programme. Important: the project must not have started yet; a binding order already counts as a start.
