IT support and websites for practices, clinics and care services
Two things count in healthcare: being found, and operations that run without IT disruptions. Patient data makes data protection a duty rather than an extra — so we are conservative about what is used and where it is processed.
Three places where everyday practice life gets stuck
- Appointments run through the phone. Online booking only relieves the front desk when it is connected to the way the practice works — not when it is one more inbox that somebody has to work through.
- Patients do not find what they are looking for. Much is decided at the first contact: does a patient or a relative quickly find the right person, an appointment, an answer — and in a language they understand?
- IT fails when the waiting room is full. Ongoing IT support means that someone knows how the systems fit together before something jams — and is not called only afterwards.
What we have delivered in healthcare
For the KIOR Health Center in Munich: a multilingual website, online appointment booking and ongoing IT support. For Consports Physiotherapie in Unterhaching, a sports medicine practice with more than 24,000 patients on file: IT infrastructure and ongoing IT support. For Vitalpflege GmbH, an outpatient care service for Munich and the surrounding area: IT consulting and the website.
In addition, the private clinic Dr. med. Kümpel (aesthetic surgery, Berlin and Mallorca) with website, SEO and AIO, and Schutin Medical Services in Gräfelfing, which has organised diagnostics and treatment in Germany for patients from abroad for more than twenty years — website and ongoing IT support there. All five are described under references.
Digitalbonus: not for the practice, possibly for a GmbH
Medical practices are liberal professions and therefore excluded from the Digitalbonus Bayern. A care service or a health centre in the legal form of a GmbH, by contrast, may be eligible — we clarify that before the quote, not after.
Patient data and professional secrecy
Escalt processes data only in the EU and the EEA as a rule; outside only by separate agreement per engagement (German terms and conditions, § 11.3). That is the precondition for practices being able to use external development at all. For larger projects we bring in development teams within the EU; project management, architecture and responsibility remain in Germany.
Practice, health centre, care service
Three of our five healthcare clients — all reference projects at a glance.
Sports-medicine practice with more than 24,000 patients on file. Looks after the German artistic gymnastics national team at world and European championships and the Olympic Games, plus Bundesliga players.
Modern health centre in Munich-Berg am Laim with a multilingual practice team and online appointment booking for patients.
Outpatient care service for Munich and the surrounding area with 24-hour availability. Cares for people in need regardless of age, level of need or social situation.
Frequently asked questions
Can a medical practice get the Digitalbonus Bayern?
No. Medical practices are liberal professions and excluded from the Digitalbonus Bayern. Commercial companies such as a care service or a health centre in the legal form of a GmbH may be eligible. We clarify that before the quote.
Where does Escalt process data?
Only in the EU and the EEA as a rule, outside only by separate agreement per engagement — that is what § 11.3 of the German terms and conditions says. For professionals bound by professional secrecy this is a precondition.
Do you also take over the ongoing IT support of a practice?
Yes. For the KIOR Health Center, Consports Physiotherapie and Schutin Medical Services, Escalt looks after IT on an ongoing basis — not only during the project, but in operations afterwards.
Do you work only in Munich?
No. Most of our healthcare clients are in and around Munich, the private clinic Dr. med. Kümpel in Berlin. Escalt is based in Reichertshausen, around 45 kilometres north of Munich, and as a rule works with clients in Bavaria in person on site, with phone or video calls in between.
